After working for over a year as a greenkeeper, I really thought God wanted me to stay at my current job. I have put alot of hard work in and reaped no rewards.(apart from great training ) I have been praying for a payrise (things have been hard with the new baby etc) but only if the Lord thought I was responsible enough. Nothing happend, my present company was not willing because it wasn't in there budget. I knew the Lord wanted better things for me, so "out of the blue" I decided to do a local job search, there it was a managers job for a garden company, so I stepped out in faith and applied. I was slightly worried about leaving my current job, due to feeling secure there. I asked the Lord to open all doors in the interview if the job was right for me, and He did, it couldn't have been any clearer. The interview lasted 1 1/2 hours and I have never felt so relaxed during the process, I was offered the job. I would never have gone for jobs like this because I thought I wasn't good enough, but now I know I can easily take on this new role. The prospects are great and pay is almost double from what I am on now. PRAISE THE LORD! Have faith and the Lord will always provide. It's so amazing what the Lord has done for me ever since I was born again. I couldn't ask for anymore. I was praying for something little and God gave me more than I could have ever dreamed of. Please pray this new job will go smoothly.

Well it couldn't have gone any better really, it was a long 12 hour day, my legs were in pain at first due to all the walking but praise the Lord as He gave me strength! Nice bunch of lads apart from the usual trashy talk. Please pray for strength because it's alot more physical than I'm used too. Thanks P.s Thanks for your prayers because they have really helped!

My new job is getting me down, to many hours, to much hard work! I have so much to do with so little time and the job isn't enjoyable at all. I really miss my low paid greenkeepers job. I'm not sure what to do, I either leave and try and get my old job back or stick with it. I have learnt more money doesn't mean less stress. Before I was stressed with having no money, now I'm stressed because the job is stressful lol! Please pray for me, I need it! Thanks and God Bless.

Born again, I can say I know how you feel in a way. but can i give you this bit of advice?
You prayed for a job and than claimed that God gave it to you. PTL You got what you prayed for, now you need to pray to God to change your attitude about the one you have, and to help you (phil 4;13 and 19) make the best of it and to appreciate it.
than you can ask him to open any doors that he can to give you a job that you will be able to do what HE wants you to do (if it is not this one)
NEXT. Habb 2:2 --read it than set down and write out your vision for you, (family??) the company you are working for and the Job (total description) that you so desire (make it plain, according to Habb) than put it up some place like the bathroom mirror or where you will see it several times a day and read it (OUTLOUD) and thank Jehovah (GOD) for it and for it to come to pass..... than Stand on that confession and as the Word says it willl come to pass
Love in the Lord Howard

Dear Bornagain;I hear you, Paul, and have been there. But I have to echo what Pastor Howard shared. Take what he posted and chew on it. See what the Lord layed before you. Your son has celebrated his 1st birthday and our Father sees you and Sarah have taken the step in accountability to your family. Now the Lord is ready to escalate you folks to the next level with another child. Along with that He opened the doors with a new job opportunity on July 1. We all have been there. We receive a new blessing so we can bless others and what happens? That punk satan comes along and tries to convince us the reasons and reasoning to find a way out. But you, brother Paul, have overcome so much these last years that we have known and loved about you. You have grown and with each step you come here and share what God has done for you and Sarah, then share the Gospel message in the Advice and Support forum. What you have done is bless others. In 1 Corinthians 9:22-25, 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Like I was sharing, we've all been there. Back in January this year after 1 1/2 months I was ready to leave my job. I read these short scriptures. Now, after 8 1/2 months I have been a witness for Jesus in this gig. I have more confidence and have found favor with my managers. Now behind closed doors my manager confides in me. He will do the same for you, Paul. It's a job with a great reward. 1 Corinthians 9:25, 1 Peter 1:4, 5:4It's a race that requires preparation. 1 Corinthians 9:26It's a race that requires discipline. 1 Corinthians 9:27It's a race that requires staying on course. Galatians 5:7It's a race that requires keeping your focus. Philippians 2:15-16It's a race that requires laying aside every weight. Hebrews 12:1It's a race that requires going the distance. Hebrews 12:1-2It's a race that requires not giving up. Galatians 6:9We love you, Sarah, and JJ, Bornagain. Stand firm in your faith, mate.Your brother in Christ Jesus. b
