Every time I watch a part of Todd Bentley at the Lakeland Outpouring, I feel something in my spirit...and let me tell you, it's not good. I don't know what you guys think...but...it seems to me that he's putting too much emphasis on angels and false things. Some things he's said and done are: He heard from God that he is supposed to get people to believe in the angel. It is against the Word of God to glorify anyone but God. We are not to exalt angels. He got the vision for the outpouring from an angel named Emma, introduced to him by Bob Jones, who is a "mothering" typeFirst of all, there is no direct reference to female angels in the Bible. There is one reference where it speaks of two females with wings carrying away a basket, but it does not outright say they are angels. Also...a mothering type? Angels are ministering spirits, not parental figures...God is our parental figure! He has COMMANDED God to open up the heavens and send angels and called the angels to come.Last time I checked my Bible...no one commanded God to send angels...He sent them when He felt they were necessary...no one called on angels either, they called on God. He has had the congregation repeatedly chant, asking God to send angels.Sounds a bit like the Prophets of Baal and their fire... Todd Bentley has "types" of angels: Angels of Glory, Angels of Healing, and Warring AngelsThe only one I could even THINK about believing is the warring angel...Glory belongs to God, and Healing comes THROUGH God, NOT angels! He has believed and claimed a prophecy that Jesus would come physically onto the stage...then tried to justify it that "would appear on stage physically, in person" did not actually mean physically.Umm...you need to see the video to understand this one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNGPjFYdgJwTodd claims he was possessed by demons AFTER being saved.Umm....the Holy Spirit and demons cannot inhabit the same place...so I was taught Todd Bentley claims that God told him to: -Bang a crippled lady's legs against the stage like a baseball bat to heal them. -Kick a woman in the face to cause the "power of God" to move -Run a guy down and choke him to get demons out -Leg drop a pastor to bring revival -Repeatedly punch a lady in the stomach to get rid of cancerThis is done in the Bible where? So, yeah...anyone else have thoughts on Mr. Bentley?

1Cor 10:13; "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

All the questions you have had .. I have also had.. I know of some Aussies that are going over to Florida to GET SOME... Get some what? ? Sorry but I wouldnt go near the guy with a ten foot pole. I have watched his preaching, and his healing crusades.... When did Jesus ever heal someone by saying BAM? If JESUS is the same yesterday, today and forever, and God says even of HIMSELF.. I THE LORD DO NOT CHANGE then why would God allow new things like this?? You are right. where is there any evidence of a FEMALE angel in the bible?
We have got to question these things and ALWAYS line things up with the WORD
Alot of people are flocking to Todd Bentley............... not this little duck!!!
I believe The Holy Spirit is the same today as HE was at pentecost, i belive in miracles, I believe..... but I just can not believe in all of this..... I had the same feeling in my spirit..... i actually felt sick when i watched one of his videos when he was caught up to HEAVEN in a pillar of fire and operated on by angels..... ummmmmm sounds like a SCI FI movie to me
I dont know.... what is going on with this so called revival.... I thought revival aways began with REPENTANCE and HUMBLENESS? We were warned about LYING signs and wonders, false prophets, doctrines taught by demons, delusions, deceptions... Funny how we cant see it when it is right in front of our face No wonder Jesus called us sheep............ sheep can be pretty dumb you know!! LOL

Dear Adam;Excellent, excellent thread! Your comments are spot on, Adam! I've never heard of Todd Bentley but no doubt this man is convincing those who are lost and desperate. Jesus warns us in Matthew 24 Just like many of you, I've been too busy ministering to the suffering, pointing them to Jesus, good stuff. But let the world beware for those of us who stay focused on the Truth. We must be prepared to do battle against the pawns of spiritual darkness. Your brother in Christ Jesus. b

Just a personnel thought. I have not seen any of the shows but a pastor friend of mine has and this pastor deals with witchcraft, demons, VooDoo 9 months out of the year. Both his wife and him told me they thought that Tod was right on?
From what I basicly read in the topic and the post here is that many disagree with the Method of operation or something that really can't be proven to be against the Word but is against what we feel or think or have been told is wrong...
from what I have heard. in the services there is deleiverence, healings and salvations by the tens. in an unorodox fashion but are happening
Just my thoughts and not to start another arguement about Tod or anyother meeting that is going on......
Love the Lord and you all howard

I believe the Word reveals the doctrine Jesus teaches us about the days to come. Many wonderful signs will be performed, with quick gratification proclaiming deliverance and salvation. Instead Jesus Christ worked slowly, preached in parables and warned not to announce the healings He did to the suffering, because many would come only to see the miracles without seeing the Light. I have to agree with you, Preacherhc. Lets not argue and waste oxygen, lets all of us be still, in prayer, seeking wisdom, fear the Lord and cautious of the signs. In time we will see the result of seeds that fall on rocky places and scorch, or fall on good soil and flourish. Your brother in Christ Jesus. b
