What My Mom Taught Me

It is true, my mother has taught me many life lessons. I have decided to share these lessons below. Accompanied with them are the ways she taught them to me.
This is dedicated to all mothers.

What She Taught Me: Time Travel
How: "If you don't behave, I'll knock you into next Thursday!"

What She Taught Me: Anticipation
How: "Just wait until your father gets home..."

What She Taught Me: Receiving
How: "You are going to get it when we get home!"


What She Taught Me: To Meet a Challenge
How: "What were you thinking? Answer me when I talk to you...Don't talk back to me!"


What She Taught Me: Logic
How: "If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me!"


What She Taught Me: Medical Science
How: "If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to stay that way."


What She Taught Me: Think Ahead
How: "If you don't pass your spelling test, you'll never get a good job."


What She Taught Me: ESP
How: "Put your sweater on, don't you think I know when you're cold?"

What She Taught Me: Humor
How: "When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't you come running to me."

What She Taught Me: How to become an adult.
How: "If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

What She Taught Me: Genetics
How: "You're just like your father."

What She Taught Me: my roots (heritage)
How: "Do you think you were born in a barn?"

How: "When you get to be my age, you'll understand."
