Sister Ivy,
I have checked it out on this end and there seems to be no problems here. Do you have some sort of firewall software on your computer? Sometime firewall settings can block chat access. I have a firewall, and when I log into chat I shut it down until I get into chat then I put it back up. If you have a firewall that may be the issue, check your firewall settings so that it will allow you access to the chat.
